The last time I spoke the MGBGT was in the garage on jack stands. I had it running but it needed all the brake and clutch hydraulics replaced. Thanks a bunch to Fred for helping me with everything including the electrical system. So far the system is working like a charm. The master cylinders came in last Friday and my Dad came over to help with assembly. We got it going at about 2130 and took it for a spin. The rear end was swishin' and swayin' like a Vegas showgirl. Turns out the rear axle was barely hanging on. Saturday morning I made the decision to go to my parents house to work on the last few items it needed to be on the road for good. I took off in a thunderstorm and got there with minimal problems. We tightened up the rear axle U-bolts and changed all fluids then all was well. I drove 140 miles that day with no problems and so far it is still doing great. This is a fine little car that is well made and fun to drive. Nothing sounds like a British classic! This is the most infectious car I have ever owned. I have had Uncle Joe, Mitch, Fred, and finally my Dad drive it and all said they wanted one. My Dad has actually gone through with it. We will be driving to Dallas to pick up his 1973 MGBGT this coming Saturday. Paul
Daddy's new car!
