October 7th and 8th 2006
This past weekend was utterly amazing. Starting Friday night with Ground Zero practice. Dane was on drums and Avery was there. We recorded 3 songs and they sound really good. All that is left at this point is to add a couple more tracks and effects.
Saturday morning I got up early and went to my brothers house to borrow his camera to take pictures of my plans for the day. I had been invited to Jennings, LA to the Stearman fly-in. Of course I accepted the invite. We left the house about 10 AM. I was pretty excited about it as I also thought I might get a ride in one of the planes! Later that day I got to do just that. I was the photographer and my Dad was in the plane I was taking pix of. This was serious fun! Check out the pictures on the photos page of the site. Thanks to my cousin Mitch for hooking up the deal. Amazing to say the least.
Sunday I loaded the family in the 1974 MGBGT and we went the back way to Cottonport. This was cool and I think I was smiling the whole way. It is about an hour and a half one way and was plenty fun. I made a rear "seat" belt for Evan in the back out of an old Cessna aircraft lap belt and he rode just fine. Got to eat lunch at Granny's house and helped assemble Papa Brouillette's leaf picker upper. I even washed his 1999 Nissan Maxima. Speaking of Maximas............
After arriving home my brother and I went in the MG to Broussard to pick up my newly acquired 1996 Nissan Maxima. I will have pictures here soon. It is a nice car and I have enjoyed driving it so far. That was the icing on the cake of an excellent weekend! Paul
